When I read that they have 6 losses, is that games lost or recruits lost? :)

Things are looking like Kentucky "could" win out the regular season title. even if they lose in Knoxville, they would lead with just one loss. (assuming they win the rest of their games in the SEC)

It will be interesting to know if Davis (and Diamond too) watched this game and what they thought about it?

Now I certainly didn't expect UT to lose this game. They should have won by 15+. But South Carolina isn't a bad team. They have a decent record (now 18-5, 7-3 SEC). They have a couple of "huh?" losses, but none of their losses have necessarily been blowouts. Now they have a pretty decent win over UT at TBA under their belts.

I think most sort of expected them to fade after the departure of Bone, but Dawn has done a good job of keeping her team together and has given them an identity. Good for her. Probably one of the biggest wins in USC's history.
SC is equivalent to WVU or SJU this year. a solid team but neither should come within 15 points of UCONN. yeah i realize WVU played us tough and so did USF, but tennessee had a 5 point lead with about 4 minutes left. both UVA and SC are solid. i bet Tennesse drops to about 13 and SC comes in at about 21 in the rankings.

I just looked at the ESPN play-by-play and Tenn was held scoreless in the last 3:39 of the game. Amazing.

Completely agree

Holy shnikies!

I've been lying here with gastroenteritis for the past 24 hours. It's an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. And I come on here to find out pretty much every LV fan has had a worse day than I have.

Was this on espn3?

If I told you that TN would have a higher shooting percentage from the field, would take more free throws, would make more free throws, that the opposition would hit only 5 of 14 free throws, that TN would outrebound SC by TEN, would have four more blocks, and three fewer personal fouls, how much of a winning margin by TN would you guess?

Hard to believe Tenn had a 5 point lead with 3 1/2 minutes left in the game and then lose it by 4 points. 9 Point swing in Knoxville. South Carolina didn't hit any three point shots down the stretch either. Never would have happened in prior years. Poor defensive and offense execution down the stretch by the Lady Vols

Not unexpected from my viewpoint. There was a reason Pat stopped playing Uconn 5 years ago and it had little to due with the recruiting of Maya Moore. She did not want the Lady Vols to be embarrassed by Uconn any more. Hence the SEC is taking care of that for us. I guess any team, any where, any place, has a few restrictions on it. Hope they land in Uconn's bracket as a 2 or 3 seed . Let the fun begin!!!!!

I also wonder how the Spanie family feels about Pat and UT now? Taber was a real want for Geno ,but she chose UT over UC.

I would say thats ridiculous, that no legit top ten team should go that long scoreless. Then I remember our game monday night, and ill quietly log back out

Somewhere in Texas, Kelsey Bone is looking at her aTm card and thinking.

We should never be happy about any recruit decommitting from another school. Remember Gemelos and EDD it is bad Mojo. I do love the way our Huskies are playing at this point in the season. I like how we have someone new stepping up in every game. Things are looking in Stoors at this time.

Have to think this loss drops Tenn down to a 3 seed or lower. They need too much help from other teams to keep a 2 seed.

South Carolina is turning out to be Holly's nemesis. Last time SC beat TN, Holly was playing for TN. That was 1980.

It will be interesting to see. TN' s RPI was 2 before the game per Real Time RPI which isn't because they don't have the updated one, but I doubt it will drop much if any. It is a long way to a three seed with that kind of RPI. My guess - unprecedented.

They have 6 losses now and could lose a couple more by selection day. That #2 RPI could drop quite a bit if that happens.

I don't mean for this question to sound as smart-@ssed as it does, but who do they drop from the schedule now in order to remain "elite"?

Doris Burke mentioned during the ND game that there was some discussion among the UT staff of dialing down the OOC schedule, but she didn't say who suggested it.
