So, playing on the road is a better deal on Super Bowl Sunday as it gives you something to watch through the boring TV afternoon. 2:00 in Storrs is certainly less than ideal.

It could be worse, who the heck scheduled McNeese State and Northwestern State at 5:30 in the afternoon?

Don't forget Cuse is scheduled for Ash Wednesday! Looks like I won't be getting ashes this year.

....back in the Ray Allen days, we played UVA in Hartford on SB Sunday afternoon. I drank before the game, drank at the game, drove to West Hartford to meet my wife and drop one car off at my parents' place, then drove together to a Super Bowl party in Glastonbury. Drank some more. After the SB, stopped in WH on the way home to pick up my car. It was tough getting up the next morning. I was stupid back then. Can't believe I made it home in one piece.

Wasn't the 04 game against Oklahoma on Super Bowl Sunday? They were supposed to be good and we knocked them out cold in the first half. Taliek had that no-look pass they showed on highlights all year.

Nah. That game was during winter break.

Similar to when they played the same USF team in an early evening game on NYE a couple years ago. I couldn't wrap my head around that one (I did attend though,as a buddy got free tix at work). Playing a team that is not a big draw, on a holiday, during break, in Hartford. There was 9k in the stands tops.

Well it was a Sunday anyway -- 27-point win over the No. 6 team in the country. We were good that year.

Yep....that was probably the worst home scheduling I can remember. As the game started at 6 PM, you could hear fireworks over Bushnell Park going off as part of the First Night celebration downtown...

UConn did have St. John's on CBS on SBS at least once unless I've lost my mind.

You lost your mind

1/28/96 vs. Virginia.
1/26/97 vs. Syracuse

Yeah the 99 game against St. John's was the day before the Super Bowl.

I was thinking you might have been thinking of the '99 game. That was a fun time in the Garden.
