Saturday games (3/2)

Ha the announcers on the Rice game displaying their ignorance:

"I really think Rice will get an at-large bid even if they trip up in the C-USA tournament."
"I agree, and I think they'll get a seed in the 7 to 9 range."

Uh no. Despite the gaudy W-L record Rice has almost no shot at an at-large bid. Their best wins are over MTSU and Little Rock.

Well, Rice did crack the AP Top 25 (#24).

Iowa State largely lives and dies by long range shooting. When they hosted Texas in Ames they really struggled from the arc. Not so far tonight. Three different players have hit 3s in the first 5 minutes and the Cyclones lead 13-4.

Well that last missed layup at the buzzer by Sutton aptly sums up the quarter for Texas. Lots and lots of missed bunnies.

Iowa State is up 27-10 and they are 5-7 from the arc. Four different players have hit 3s.

trying to watch the game on Watch ESPN replay, but i cannot get the game to play. anyone know where i might be able to replay today's game? thank you!

.-.
Clemson got robbed at the end of the men's game tonight Head bang

HPU defeated Hampton 104-98 in regulation.:eek::eek::eek::eek: Looks like my panthers clinched the 2 seed for the Big South Tourney :)

Meanwhile, Rice in its senior game is putting a major beatdown on La Tech, 56-23 in 3Q.
E. Ogwumike already has 16 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists.

Wasnt there another 0 sister.... is she injured... or did she already graduate?

Iowa State lead down to 9 with 2:07 left. Clones not handling the press well.
Texas had a steal and a chance to cut it to 7 but missed 2 chances.

Ha the Texas band chanting “Bill is angry!” as Fennelly was ripping into the refs with his usual zeal. Hey if you can’t beat em might as well have some fun.

And just as I say that TX does cut it to 7 on a steal and layup. At least not going down without a fight.

.-.
Damn. Texas almost did get to 75. Scored 50 points in the second half. I’ll have to buy my own wings...

You kinda expect Carleton to get hers, such a great player. She had 23 and 12. But the player that really killed TX was Ashley Joens with 22 including 5-8 from 3. Iowa State cooled off in the second half but had such a cushion and did enough to hang on.

Iowa State may get a hosting spot. It’ll be close. Texas won’t be close. Probably a 6 or 7 seed. There is a gaping chasm between Baylor and the rest of the Big 12.

Texas will forever be overrated... no matter how many top recruits get.
Oh so you’re back to pile on again?

I will say even with the injuries Texas has too much talent to be losing this may games. They should be a close 2nd to Baylor based on talent.

ISU's future is in Joens hands and by the looks of it, they will be just fine. Just glad ISU and BU won't have to play until the finals of B12 Tourney.

I really think half if them are playing the wrong position.

Oh now this I gotta hear. Who are playing the "wrong position," according to you?

Damn you are really butt hurt huh? Why are so offended by everything I say ? I'm sorry your horns lost... jeez you need anger management.
Who are playing "out of position"? Would you be so kind as to answer the question.

I agree Texas should be doing better, but I don't agree with the latter statement. The only HG top 30 recruits Texas currently has available are Sutton, Holmes, White and Collier. Holmes' lack of development since freshman year isn't really on Aston, IMO. Her suspension from the university in fall 2017 and then her injury last year have been the bigger problems. Baylor, meanwhile, currently has 9 HG top 30 recruits available, and that's not even counting Chloe Jackson.

Both the Big 12 and SEC didn’t have much competition at the top this year.

At UConn, free wings happen at 82 points.

I still disagree. What would a Coach like Shaffer do with all that talent? Also, Littleton was a top 20 on prospects nation and 33 on espn. How many coaches are doing a lot more less top 30 ranks?
I mean UConn has 3 no.1 Recruits yet they aren't the top team in the nation. Yes no.2, but my point is the talent is there. The coaching isn't and obviously she can recruit, but what would Schafer, Geno, Moore, Stalet, etc. Recruiting rankings sometimes don't translate once they get to college.

You have a great starting 5 with a top 5 recruit in Collier coming off the bench. I honestly think they have the talent to be a top 10 team. Just lack the development and x's & o's

.-.
Dallas, I get all the Texas games and have to agree that there is an x's and o's issue. Texas always seems to let its guards go one on one, often with little focus on competitive matchups and in game strategy. Collier and other bigs often look lost since they can't predict the flow of the game. Would like to get Texas in the NCAA's; Iowa St. not so much.
