Sarah Strong WBCA FOY | The Boneyard

Sarah Strong WBCA FOY

So well deserved. Again, I know our "girls" don't care about the individual awards, but it's nice to see her greatness recognized.

Goal for next season Sarah (aside from NC etc...) - 1st team AA and short list for NPOY! ;)

I rewatched the USC game today. Sarah is unbelievable. She does so many little things well. Much like Paige, she is exceptionally good at reading the game. Early on, UConn needed her to score and she did so. In the 2nd half she was more of a facilitator, setting screens and dropping dimes.

Sarah’s 2-man game with Paige is the best I have ever seen in WBB. Whatever the defense does is going to be wrong, and it’s why UConn will win the championship, imo.

On another thread I had speculated that the last spot on the 10 player WBCA AA team would come down to Sarah & Blakes. With Sarah winning FOY, I’m feeling very good about Sarah earning WBCA AA and an eventual spot in Gampel alongside her fellow HOH’s. :)

There will be NO AWARD that SARAH will earn that she didn't work her butt off to get and not EARN! I predict that Sarah will become the face of UCONN and the face of college BB the next 3 years. If Sarah earns AA honors her freshman year , she will be a 4 year AA for her career. My opinion. GO SARAH!!!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!!!

She's that girl, has been since she arrived at Storrs and always will be. We get three more years of this? And next year with her, Azzi, and whichever transfer Geno decides is the UConn fit along with KK, Shade Ducharme and everyone else.

Who?
Sarah Strong over Blakes (two 50 pt games) from Shea Ralph's Vanderbilt team that lost in the first round. Blakes won the AP FOY, so Sarah would have a chip on her shoulder.

Now, we are waiting on the main goal: Chip #12. I like UConn's ability to defeat UCLA and go on for the 37th win of this season!

Go Huskies!!!
