In 60 games...Sarah is already only one of 8 Huskies with her career totals (or more) in Points, Rebounds, Assists, Blocks and Steals.

Unbelievable!!!

I said last season, before you start chiseling Paige into the mountain, let's see how Sarah ends up. The jury is still out, in my opinion.

I think Paige is incredibly deserving, but by the time Sarah is done, her numbers will be better in just about every way imaginable. But I will still believe Paige is deserving so our Mt Rushmore will need 5. Or we will need to call it something else. Maybe the "7 wonders of the basketball world"? That would give room for those 5 plus 2 more...

maybe the Mag 7, like in the stock market!

No it's Mt.Rushmore..if Sara bumps Paige off so be it..someone may bump Sara off someday or put Sue bird on it with her 2 natys and numerous accolades or Tina with her 2 natys also numerous accolades its not fair to have Paige on it before those two..Hey Paige has 2 more years to be on it before Sara graduates

Sarah has the potential to become the top scoring player in Uconn history. All the other top categories like Asst, Rebounds, FT's ,STs and Games will be under assault. I can assume as she progresses in time playing, maturity and skill developing to the best Sarah can be, her proficiency will also escalate to where no-one cannot assume Sarah will be the best player Uconn EVER had. Barring the spectre of the injury bug, there is no limit to Sarah's potential!!! GO SARAH!!!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!

She certainly might become the best player ever with the range of skills she has, but at her current pace, assuming 150-160 games, she won't beat any of the five all-time leaders in those five categories (Moore, Charles, Muhl, Stewart, Sales). She might break Kalana Greene's record of 157 games if she stays healthy.

But she may tie Stewie with 4 rings and be up there with DT with 3 and Maya with 2

Sarah Strong, in my opinion, is the best woman's basketball player in college basketball today. I also believe that the same could apply to last year also. She is the most complete player considering her scoring ability, her rebounding prowess, and her ability to defensively cover any position whether it's a center, forward, or a guard. Her passing ability is also incredible. She literally has no weaknesses.
She may not beat any of the top five all-time Huskies in some categories, but she basically only plays 3 quarters per game due to the many blowout victories by this great UConn team. Were she to play additional minutes per game, there's no telling what her numbers would be. She also has a great personality. You can see the love that she has for her teammates, and the love they have for her.
I am so happy that this great young lady chose to play for the greatest program in college basketball: The UConn Huskies!

Because the team is so strong Sarah plays relatively few minutes per game AND she will often not take shots in order to feed teammates who are also open. She is like Paige often preferring to pass first. Of course these factors lower her stats and STILL her numbers stiff the spreadsheets. An AMAZING player.

Although I think it's unlikely Sarah will break any of the school records for points, rebounds, etc., she might become the first player to be in the top ten in all five major categories: even Stewart and Moore didn't do that.

Come on, this is the BY. If we made it the "7 wonders" we would be debating the #7 spot. If we made it the supreme court, we would be debating the #9 spot. It's what we do.

We all love Sarah. But just a reminder that Paige is 3rd on the all time UConn scoring list with 30 fewer games played. Extrapolate for that discrepancy and she's probably the all time leader, or at least in a virtual tie with Maya. Figure in all the other intangibles Paige brought to her years in Storrs and I'd say If Maya belongs up there, so does Paige. The great ones each defined an era, and Paige absolutely did that.

On a per game basis Paige indeed does come out a little ahead of Maya in scoring, but well behind on a per-minute basis.

We also have to remember who each of the greats played with. Geno has already said many times, Paige had to do so much more as a freshman and quite frankly her entire career at UCONN because of the players surrounding her and of course the injury situation. To me Paige had to carry so much of the load and also during a time when you WCBB landscape has had more talent spread across more teams. I'm gonna enjoy Sarah now and debate this once she's finished her career.

A little behind on a per minute basis, 25.9-24.8 in per 40, but way ahead on a per possession basis.

That little bit behind comes out to 116 points if she played the same number of minutes as Maya.

To be able to conlude this, we'd also need to know possessions per minute. In the absence of that sort of information, this difference could be merely noise in imperfectly controlled data.
