Sarah Strong "cupping" marks on right shoulder

Regular maintenance? I find it hard to believe it is just being used as a random PT practice. Have had it for various injuries for several years and its always to help with specific issues.
Your experience has not been my experience. For me, cupping has been a routine part of my visits to an Chinese medicine doctor/acupuncturist.

It was called Atomic Balm
When i was running cross country for Iona prep and then Clemson university we use something called Tiger Balm. Don't know if i ever saw an atomic balm. it was 50 years ago but i do believe it was tiger balm and im not being predudice just because i ran for the tigers ! lol.

Google: Atomic Balm. I don't have good memories of that smell. I never liked stuff like that. I was a marathoner after college hoops.
A training buddy of mine tried DMSO. You heard of that? They used it on horses. Went right through the skin into the muscles. Dangerous,, using it, you could get anything like bacteria, toxins, impurities into the body.
Tiger Balm is real too. Little packets. Atomic Balm came in big tubs.

Your Ben-gay comment brought back memories. I remember using similar rub called a-balm back in height school. Still remember the smell.
That stuff was like Ben-Gay x10. I always thought it was radioactive.

DI runner! Sweet! You ever run marathons?

I was a frequent user in high school. One time when I used it on a pulled groin, I quickly swore not to do that again. I was reminded continuously for about two hours, it's not like capsaicin, which wears off in six minutes.
Also not recommended: inserting contact lenses after applying the balm—at least if you value your vision!

As for kinesio tape, I see some doubters here, but I became a convert after a physical therapist used it after I lost some mobility in my shoulder following breast cancer surgery. K-tape helped support proper posture while I was regaining a full range of motion.
