Saniya's game last night (Wednesday)

Once again, Saniya shows out in the 4th quarter when her team needs her most:

"Ossining, the defending Class AA sectional champ, received a stiff test from the defending Class C champ. But Chong scored 24 of her 43 points in the fourth quarter Wednesday night to power the Pride to their fifth straight win, 88-79."

A player who gets better as the game grinds on is a rare commodity. Saniya is going to be fabulous for UConn!

With her ability to score from anywhere and penetrate shes going to bring something special to UConn. This kid can play and will contribute in a very special way.

She is now averaging exactly 36 a game.....she had 9 assists in this and I imagine she is close to double digits in that category.

Playing with 4 fouls and scoring 20+ points in the fourth quarter in a close game--yet again--are signs of a player on top of her game. Nice work!

I do wish we , UConn , had a 3-player class coming in 2013........But it looks like its only going to be one(1). And if its only going to be 1 , I am glad its going to be Saniya Chong. One who can play at a high level , and one who wants to be a Husky , and one who wants to be here..... This young lady can play !

She will provide excellent depth in a rotation that will include Hartley, Banks , and MoJeff. Speed , scoring , and outside shooting. If you're a Husky fan it makes you salivate with anticipation. But if you're an opponent it will make your bladder overflow out of fear.

Keep pouring it on Saniya . UConn opponents can always put in an order for Pampers.

I’m glad Saniya chose UConn. She’ll learn a lot…….and have the best opportunity to become the player she wants to be. Great competition with a great team. GO UConn!.......................................LOL

I don't want to sound like Tony, but Saniya is going to be a player, that is for sure. Can't wait to see her next year.
