Saniya to Start over Moriah Tomorrow vs Tulsa

Can Chong go for a full game ?? Is that IT band injury good enough ? Not that Nurse, KLS, or Ekmark couldn't muddle through against Tulsa, but Saniya hasn't played anywhere close to a full game, or even extended minutes this year.

Well, a nearby bakery in Vernon is reopening Wednesday after renovations. Nice to get a treat that day, as I'm apparently going to have to miss out on another treat: watching Mo Jefferson play WCBB.

Maybe Saniya opened her own bakery. I believe in her.

Chong played 22 mins in Cincinnati game, same as Stewie, and Moriah 26 mins.
I believe Chong is fully recovered.

Moriah's injury worries me because hamstrings are so unpredictable. It can be a problem for a few days or a few weeks. And with Moriah , speed is one of her key components. And that hamstring is key to that component.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Can't help wondering if she already had this.

Can't agree with you on this one at all. .... Surprised you'd choose Moriah over Breanna.
Perchance you missed the NC game last season???
Even Stewie would disagree with you. In fact after that game she did!!!
Not to downplay Stewie (like I even could)

In Geno, Chris and Rosemary we trust.

Or at least fully available with the specialized and dedicated pre game massage used to relieve the issue.

Gus , that's a possibility. She may have just waited until now , a little easier part of the schedule , to sit out and let the hamstring rest . And get treatment. We are just fortunate to have a healthy Saniya. Of course the Huskies could slide Kia over to the PG spot.............But bringing in Saniya and keeping Nurse at the SG spot is much better. I think Saniya will do very well over this stretch.

Let's hope Mo is as fast of a healer , as she is a basketball stealer............ And that's awfully fast. :)

No worries....it's only a little tiny hamstring. She will be speeding around in no time. ;)

Nurse is a more experienced PG than Chong (how much more experienced can you be, than to carry your national team to championships as a PG?), while Chong may be the more deadly shooter if she is in form. I suspect the two together will blur the PG/SG distinction ... and that just might work out quite well.

To help recover from our winter blues, along with the Mo injury, watch Crystal D.: . As for the present, it really doesn't look as if UConn has much ahead of it before SC. I hope that Kia, Saniya, and Lou will be up to carrying the load for the next few weeks--not that they'll have to do. Get well, Mo.

And the NC games in 2013 and 2014?

Fox had a short segment on the women tonight. Filmed at practice there was a few seconds of video Jefferson. She didn't appear to be limping and she had a big grin on her face. No crutches and I couldn't see a brace. Auriemma said they are just giving her time for it to heal. If it had to happen there could not be a better time. She can rest it for a couple of weeks if necessary.

No blur - Kia playing the point
