I am not sure of this, but I believe she recorded the highest A/T ratio of any UConn player for a single season, over 3.0. It came during an era of UConn players such as Jefferson, Samuelson, Nurse, etc, recording high A/T ratios because of the sharpshooters we had on the perimeter. Perimeter assists are less likely to become turnovers then, say, Bird feeding Cash, Williams and Jones.
Still, the fact that Chong recorded the best A/T ratio in a favorable era for that statistic over some excellent UConn guards reflects very well on her. She’s a deserving Husky.
