Saniya and her team play in the state tournament tomorrow at Pace Univ in Westchester (@4:30). I wonder if Geno will be there; I don't think he's seen her play yet.

John I am the first to admit that I am obcessed with recruiting,can never get enough inf,and "stomach turns until the we have verbals for the year/years ahead"
This is a year that for various reasons the public verbals across the country have been almost non existent! Tenn's situation is a factor,we are coming off arguably the best 3 woman class in 2012,having followed the 2011, and 2010 classes. We have standing offers to DD ranking of 1-3 and Taya Reimer #4<I think she is ND lean! DD<John A has stated repeatedly he would be shocked if she does not ultimately end up with us>now he is saying she probably won't commit till Nov Ughhhh. We looked into Mercedes Russell #1,but she is not interested,Tanner Md was an early interest,but doesn't seem to be in picture,same with Mavunga! We are very interested in McCall CA,Samuelson CA and Saniya! This is 2013.
Saniya has been checked out by all of the coaches in person,been on campus,plans are for her to return to the campus to amongst other things attend practice,and Geno may be going to see her in her next game and/or the potential game between Cierra/Breanna and Ossing/Saniya! There is mutual interest You are correct in the degree of interest!
We may see something happen in the coming month/post NCAA Tournament. I would have loved to see mutual interest with Linnie Harper IL,but nothing public there.
2014 has us interested in other TX players Turner,Caldwell,Eckard AZ, and a# of Ca players #6 Drummer, pgs Elite interesting! Calhoun NY and a few other east coast players.
As my good friend Eric has stated,we look for players who fit the UCONN mold,including not expecting to start immediately,team oriented,want UCONN, which is not everyone,Want to be part of NCAA Championships teams.
Watch carefully how this all plays out! We want players in 2013 to be part of what is already a Championship roster.
