Feel like I may be a little excited here, but haven’t seen someone have a defensive impact like this since Anthony Davis. Teams have no chance in the paint with him out there.

Mick Cronin called AD “the best college freshman in 40 years” or something like that. Crazy praise.

And Clingan changes games as much as he did

Castle is going to be a top 5 pick and possibly the top American prospect selected. His physical profile, his IQ, his defense, and his intangibles are crazy for a true freshman. His willingness to fit into a system and put his ego aside shows maturity beyond his years.

That drive when he essentially gathered and out muscled LeDee was so, so ridiculous for a true frosh. He's just scratching the surface.

I'm showing my age here, and I know the game has evolved somewhat, but Stephon Castle's game reminds me of Sidney Moncrief.

Castle solid all game. Cam bailed us out in the first. Then we started clicking and got contributions from everyone. Just an epic performance on that stage against a very good team. Arizona went home. Carolina in a dogfight. We won by 30. That has to terrify people.

Roumoglou can play and will be Karaban jr next year.

I hope Roumoglou gets a real opportunity next year- he has to shore up any weaknesses in his game. He definitely can shoot. It might be all in his hands- if defense or hustle or whatever is holding him back, he needs to work on that over the summer.

And Wooden's UCLA did it in an era where the regions in the Tournament actually corresponded to your geographic region, and the other teams in the West were trash.

This team goes into a game with a starting offensive plan. If it works, they stick with it. If it doesn't, they switch it up until it throws the other team off, then they bury them. Amazing the arsenal they have to win games.

Really hoping we play Iowa State. They're basically SDSU on steroids which is a better matchup for us than facing a team that can absolutely fill it up like Illinois.

I’m here at the game and Illinois moves the ball really well and Shannon is a hand full. ISU doesn’t have the fire power to beat the Huskies.

It’s really hard to win a game if you literally cannot get a layup at the rim. That’s what DC does. Eventually the shots are going to stop falling.

Ledee had to play out of his mind in the first half hitting mid range and 3 point shots just for them to be in the game. He only took 4 FTA today. And that’s one of the best players in the country.

Next game will be a challenge. Little turnaround to prepare.

Advantage: challenger. Not much to prepare for with UConn. Just bring your A+ game.

Also advantage to the team that won first by 30 while the next two teams punched each other out.

He was scared to attack Clingan, the entire game plan should be getting him in foul trouble, and ledee decided tough pull ups were a better option.
