Maya is fouled but misses both FT's (2-6 from the charity stripe for the night). but Rebekkah gets the offensive board and with 8 seconds left is fouled, but she misses both. Fortunately, SA is even more inept and Minny escapes with the win...

Minnesota holds on barely. Maya was 2-6 on FTs. She and Brunson combined for 0-4 on FTs in the last 10 seconds when they were leading 66-65. S.A. could not score and lost by 1.

Actually, Lindsay Whalen deflected it. Maya picked it up and dribbled down the court as time expired. Hopin' Miss Maya can step up for game 2 offensively. Strange to see her as not option 1, but I believe in her.

I don't believe so. Adair has been their first option off the bench for a while now, and more recently Amber Harris has been getting meaningful minutes as well. Since then, Charde has unfortunately seen very little PT.

P.S. Seimone's efforts on the defensive end last night were outstanding, even better than her clutch shooting on the other end IMO. She is lightning quick, long and explosive.
