2021 Recruiting: Samson Johnson to UConn

Samson is a really high upside prospect. Far from a finished product but he has all the things you look for in a developing big. Enormous wingspan, very good athlete, and has a developing three point shot, shot blocker. Once he gains strength and further development the ceiling is really high.

He’ll be a stud.

Seems the staff got all 3 of their top targets early. They targeted these guys and went after them hard. No waiting for the spring for leftovers. I assume these 3 recruits fit everything the staff was looking for. Feels good to be done so early. If anyone leaves early in the spring then they deal with it then.

Even on a Zoom call.. It's easy for recruits (now commits) to see and feel the energy/passion/excitement/joy that this staff/Dan Hurley possesses.. Dan Hurley coming in and out of frames because he can hardly contain his excitement.. It's actually a technology that plays to his personality strengths.. If you can't get them on campus.. What else can you do but dazzle them on Zoom..LOL
