Samson Johnson signed with the Pacers

Good luck Samson. I have faith he can make an impact with his athletic ability and his length. Maybe gain a few more pounds and can play a backup center position.

Samson is signing to fill out summer league roster ; may get a few minutes and maybe an invite to G league . Will eventually sign overseas and have a 10+ year career overseas and make a decent living . Not a bad outcome !!! The UConn exposure probably helped him a lot; “ two time national championship player “ reads nice in the press release

Great spot for Samson. Indy has a lot of uncertainty at the C position. Likely signing Turner for a ridiculous contract this week putting them over the cap. Indy needs to fill a few spots with league minimum type guys.

He was part of all time great teams, not really an all time great himself. Will have a long pro career tho.
To me he’s an all time great husky because he stayed 4 years to play a position he probably didn’t think he’d play. Never complained, worked hard, and was loved by all his teammates and coaches.I remember before he got hurt he was our starting 4 ahead of Alex.

May this BY story of Johnson was ahead of Karaban before getting hurt never due.

And please no one bring up the only reason Johnson was ahead of Karaban was Karaban was nursing an injury.

There wasn't ever a time where a healthy Johnson was ahead of a healthy Karaban.

And that's not a knock on Johnson or throwing shade on Johnson.

SJ left UConn as the all time winningest player in the history of the program. Of course, Karaban will pass him next year. Still he is one of the few to hold that title.
