Dan Hurley is surely used to recruiting players to play for the Huskies, but it might be a bit of a new feeling having to recruit one of his own guys to stay with the program.

The writer starts the article by saying Johnson started all 5 games this year, but it makes sense that other teams saw a potential opportunity to snag him away from us. Thank good Samson decided to stay.

Not surprised he considered leaving. Also not surprised some teams were recruiting him while he was on scholarship at UCONN. High sleaze factor. Liked seeing Hurley's comments about re-recruiting him to make sure he came back this season. And obviously very glad he stayed. Have really enjoyed watching him play so far!

He was clearly good enough to play when he came back last year, but at that point we had a team with great chemistry and I don’t think Dan wanted to chance screwing it up. Right decision for the team, but I can understand why Samson would look elsewhere.
