Cassell has played maybe 5 of the first 11 minutes and missed his only attempt, a corner 3. In the game now. Iona's point guard just dislocated his finger so Cassell might feature more going forward.

Guess it's also worth mentioning EJ Crawford, a freshman small forward from Hartford who played at St. Thomas More in Oakdale started for Iona

Sam's been in a slump for a couple of weeks - not sure if he's an injury or what, but he hasn't looked great.

One of the more fascinating players in the country - Jordan Washington.

Completely unstoppable, but only averages 20 minutes a game because he's bent on fouling out as quickly as possible.

Monmouth blew a 17-point second half lead in that one.

Tough deal, but perhaps not a complete shock - Siena's playing at home and they'd looked pretty good lately. Their only two losses recently were to Monmouth and the last one was a two-point game in the last seconds at Monmouth.

Jesus, Sam just air-balled a three.

Kid for Siena had 27 points including 7 3's in the second half of the Monmouth game. Must have been a wild game

You're not kidding, wow. Hadn't heard about him, but he has some of the most interesting per 40 numbers I've seen this year.

If you want to see some truly special foul numbers, look up Rakim Lubin's stats this year. He tore his Achilles in February and is out for the year, but before that, he was a machine.

Nico Clareth can fill it up, he's been suspended this year and had an ankle issue all tourney. I saw him lay into Fairfield for like 40. When he's going it's fun to watch.

EJ Crawford, freshman from Simsbury with the winning basket. We could have used Washington in our frontcourt.

He is from Hartford (doesn't live in Simsbury)but was an All State player at Simsbury High (where he was a scoring machine) before heading off to STM.

High IQ player for a Freshman.

Well not surprised. He had great role models while he was here.

How about TSam, crushing it for an awful Penn St team averaging 4 PPG, didn't look at conference splits

A foul machine: 4.2 PF in 18.5 MPG. Which I guess is why he only averaged 18.5 MPG despite rebounding and scoring at a nice clip.
