Very sad. I feel for the family- both hers and the MSU family who loved her.

I couldn't believe this when I saw it. I knew she was ill, but when I saw her at the slam dunk contest last week, she looked healthy and energetic. Heartbreaking story, R.I.P.

My Daughter is almost 13.

I can't imagine the Pain, going through what that family had to go through.

Hope they all can find Peace.

I am in my second year of medical school now very strongly considering pediatric oncology. This is devastating news. It never gets easier to swallow every time I see a child die from cancer. I've worked at the Paul Newman camp in Florida, Camp Boggy Creek, to uplift kids with cancer just like Ms. Lacey. Definitely want to help kids like this for a living. As poster above said, thank you to MSU and Payne for embracing this girl.

Rest in peace Lacey...........with thought & prayer for her and her family. Life is not fair.........
Appreciation to MSU, team & Payne for showcasing her during her remaining time.

Payne will be a changed man, and one on a mission. He has learned something many of us take decades to learn.
