Caveat: I don't know if this was fully accurate/up-to-date, but I saw a list of Div I scholarships.

Just 4 of the 510 listed are going to players from New England. Georgia Tech, BC, Manhattan, and Lehigh.

On further thought, there should be about 1000-1200 D-1 scholarships for this class, so I guess this list only covers about 1/2, but still ...

I coached in NE, and their students are not very competitive . There are plenty of HS teams that don't cut anyone, and most coaches do not push their students very hard.
