Very sorry to hear Fishy. She was way too young. Unfortunately that story is far too eerily familiar to when my mother passed away from brain cancer when she was 39 as well after a 5 year fight many years ago.......My sincerest condolences on your loss.

I am very sorry to hear of this terrible loss for your family, Fishy.

My mother died of leukemia when I was three and she was just 33. I was the youngest of her three kids, a tall order for my father, to put it mildly. I can't say enough about how much my two uncles and aunts stepped up to help and how important and influential they have been for my entire life. Sadly, I do not have any independent memory of my mother, but I do have many formative and great memories of times spent with them. Know that you will be that person to your nephews.

Very sorry to hear it. I lost my mother last month to a sudden stroke (she was only 59) and I know it can be tough in these trying times. It's especially tough in the summer when everybody's out and celebrating and enjoying BBQ's and trying to put on a brave and happy face.

I met Malini some 13 years ago, after a mass 'yard trip to Fenway (the Sox won, natch). Beautiful, engaging, intelligent woman. Knew of her brave battle to beat her illness; not sure I could have done it. God bless her soul and her family.
