Rutgers vs UConn.

My friends and I have been debating for weeks whether our team woulda beat Rutgers this year. Between the bottom 10 saying yes and cbs simulator saying we were 2nd worse to only UTEP. We are at it again. The http://www.ncaagamesim.com/ posted in another thread had us beating them about 70% of the time in east Hartford when I ran it. What do you think? Epically bad defense vs epically bad athletic department!?

I think the line would open up at minimum Rutgers - 10 ... Maybe more. And yeah, they would cover. We were beyond bad this year.

I don't think there was a pitcher on the 62 Mets who could break 90. Their K/9 leader was Galen Cisco at 6.05 (who also walked >5/9IP). So I'd go with the O's.

Rutgers defense looked competent in the last two games against Penn St and Mich St. They would probably keep Pindell in check. Whereas UConn's defense gave up 1,000 pts to SMU, ECU, etc to end the season. Rutgers running game would dominate this matchup. And Rutgers is horrible.

Rutgers would destroy us. Our defense can't tackle. Unfortunately, Rutgers' offense will try to score points and that would put us at a significant disadvantage going in.

Rutgers would open as a 17 point favorite at minimum and cover before halftime.

I don't think everyone can grasp just how bad we were. We had arguably the worst defense in the history of college football AND BASICALLY EVERY TEAM WE PLAYED TOOK THEIR FOOT OFF THE GAS IN THE 2ND HALF. We played at least a few games where it would have been in the triple digits. Rutgers would beat us by 3 TDs +.

Rutgers' offense was inept this season while their defense was fair. They gave-up a lot of points in the 3rd and 4th quarters because they were just exhausted from being on the field 75% of the time. UConn would score some point; but, UConn's historically bad defense would allow Rutgers' offense to finally be able to do something. Call it 31 to 17, the University of New Jersey.

First third of the season, I think we would have beaten them in a close and epically ugly game. Second third would have been a pick'em on any field in and epically ugly game. Final third, they actually improved a bit and would have beaten us by at least two scores.
They were unbelievably bad on both sides of the ball, but the Defense got measurably better. Their Offense was as bad as our Defense for a while, but improved just enough.

Yes, my opinions might be worth 2 cents, but at least I'm realistic. Rutgers has a P5 membership, we don't and after BloomingIdiot sued the ACC, I doubt we will ever be in a P5 conference.
