Schiano has gotten a lot of mileage for just one signature victory in his time a Rutgers. He's not a good coach. And, btw, we’d give our right arm to be as good as they are, a leg to have a coach as competent as shady and a nut to be in the conference they’re in. Otherwise, good narrative.
You think Schiano’s a good coach??? You can give both nuts and your short leg, it’s still not going to make him a good coach. I think you might be taken in by him always focused on his stupid clipboard and not what’s happening on the field. And, btw, we’d give our right arm to be as good as they are, a leg to have a coach as competent as shady and a nut to be in the conference they’re in. Edsall 1.0 for sure, as a matter of fact Uconn vs Rutgers from 2001 to 2013 is tied 6-6, yet early on Uconn had just made the transition from FCS to FBS. He out coached Schiano with what he had to work with.Who’ve we had that you’d put above shady
Rutgers is Rutgers.
Yeah, to get out fast for his next interview.Didn’t they give Schiano the use of a private jet this time around?
They haven’t beaten a team with a winning recordRutgers is in the Big Ten and is one win away from going to a bowl game in year 2 under the schiano rebuild. They are doing just fine.
Neither have we….I’d take 5-5 against a slate of losers any day. They haven’t beaten a team with a winning record
Their only convincing win in conference was against 2-8 Indiana. Wins over Delaware and Temple shouldn’t count. They’re terrible, Schiano could be jettisoned soon IMO.They haven’t beaten a team with a winning record
You forgot: Snookie!or Rutgirls. or Sucktgers.
They’re certainly paying him well, $32M over eight years. Knowing that I don’t think they would can him and eat that contract.Schiano did what Edsall 2.0 did not - he used the transfer portal. On the 2 deep on offense, there are 4 transfer starters and 3 backups. On defense, there are 4 transfer starters and 1 backup.
I’m confused - didn’t you just say a few posts back that “Schiano could be jettisoned soon”?They’re certainly paying him well, $32M over eight years. Knowing that I don’t think they would can him and eat that contract.
Schiano - he knows how to recruit the area and was able to turn around a program that was in the dumpster for decades.Who would you rather have as your coach right now....schiano or Mora?
Hard to compare since Mora hasn't coached in a few years...but I still would take Mora.
