The AD at FIU who fired him after he was arrested in Miami "his wifes favorite place and I suspect his also" for brawling in nightclubs from what I understood from the articles in the Miami newspapers and on FIU's board though many still supported him even though some complained he went through bouts of "roid rage" ?!?! I assume only his hairdresser would know for sure ?Who accepts a job then goes home only to have his wife overrule him? I'll bet he takes his next decent offer though! I wonder if he's a good fit here(UConn) or anywhere outside the Fla area at this critical point in CR? I know he can recruit and maybe motivate but he faltered at his only HC job after T.Y. Hilton left and is he worth the risk now ?Thats all I really know about him though.

Find me an article about MC brawling in nightclubs...

1. Rutgers will be able to throw Big 10 money around soon enough

2. The state NJ produces so much football talent, you'd be a fool not to want to coach there, "long hanging fruit"

3. Any coach wants the opportunity to coach in a BCS game, we don't offer that.

They have a much better situation, by far. It's not even close.
Truth is spoken above. I still cannot get my head around how badly we've fumbled at every turn.
I just read that in five years the revenue share for B1G teams will be 40MM+ a piece. You'd think somebody in Hartford or Storrs would have had a light bulb go off and figure we could have bought our way in and still come out way ahead of any possible financial outcome with AAC.

That was odd one kid was a RB true freshman redshirting but I saw him in practice and he was overrecruited anyway. The second was a NT who could never get healthy. The 3rd was our starting CB as a redshirt freshman so that was very bizarre.

That's false. We got screwed when Schiano left because no coach worth much is leaving 2 days before signing day. We all know he was hired to save a recruiting class and also because Cristobal wanted 2 million a year and he wasn't worth half that IMO. Flood has lost the hardcore fanbase and his recruiting, despite "rankings" isn't good. Our star average puts us 50th right now, last year it was mid 40s.

Put down the pipe.

You guys will be Indiana only without the basketball.

When it comes to RU JS can't be objective.I don't really understand or care why so I just roll with it because it's so obvious as to render his posts about RU meaningless to the more rational UConn fan!btw Cristobal took his offer but his wife overruled him so now shes stuck in Bama waiting for Mario to get a HC position but they say he's a ticking timebomb? We probably should have invested in Dazzy!?!I'm not too sure of his stability either!?!

My posts are so meaningless yet you respond to almost every one.

It explains the semi mass exodus. It's only a matter of time before the athletic department implodes...again.
Unfortunately it will implode in a much safer place then us.....for everything we like to bash Rutgers on, the bottom line is they are in the B1G. Their entire athletic program could go 0-forever and they'll still be better off then us. Ugh.....

I'm still trying to figure out if 10-2 in the AAC is better than 2-10 in the B1G. While I'd like the opportunity to give the B1G a go, being a whipping boy in a B1G boy conference doesn't appeal to me.

Just ask Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue or Indiana fans how they feel. The thrill of a B1G invite will fade fast with multiple 2-10, 3-9 or 4-8 seasons.

Again, I guess I'm still for a B1G invite. Without the right hire though, UConn FB as we once knew it, may never be the same.

Wish I could disagree with this. I guess I could if I were solidly confident that we would be competitive in the B1G.

I know we don't want the Big 12, and that would be the least likely outcome.

Maybe the Colonial conference would appeal more to you if your wary of P5 CFB?That's the same attitude FSU and Clemson figured UConn had and I'm sure they will enjoy the "proof" your post implies about the way we look at FB? Lets find the "easy" path rather than the challenging one.UGH,I hope they don't see that! I thought you were an athlete ? The last sentence of your post is more like it tho not very obvious to the casual lurker.

I did, that why I asked you for a link. You spouted he was fired from FIU for a bar fight and he has "roid rage" Let me remind you what you wrote when I asked who said he was a "ticking time bomb":

The AD at FIU who fired him after he was arrested in Miami "his wifes favorite place and I suspect his also" for brawling in nightclubs from what I understood from the articles in the Miami newspapers and on FIU's board though many still supported him even though some complained he went through bouts of "roid rage" ?!?!

There are no legitimate articles that I can find that state any of that so it appears you were plain wrong. Pretty easy to trash some one anonymously eh?
