Let's recap. UConn with a 7-1 lead and Fischer in complete control. Strikes out his 7th batter to start the 6th. Then something happens, he walks 2, hits 2 batters and 3 runs later it is 7-4. In the 7th, Cross get's the first 2 guys out then the dreaded 2-out walk which always comes back to hurt. No problem, next batter ground ball to Testani should be the third out and once again another error. 4 runs later losing 8-7. 5 of the 8 runs unearned. Defense killing the team again.

great comeback after pooping the bed. good win to start the series off. need to win 2 if not sweep this weekend. ive come to the conclusion that this team is a year away. most of the pitching that matter right now will be back. most of our field will be back. mazz will be a big loss and it seems we have deopth to pick up losing pavone. we could be in for a big year next year.

Fuller has 2 homers on the day and now 3 in the last 2 games. Comes up big and saves the day. That would have been a hard loss to swallow and then to have to play another game.

This is also hard to believe, but this is the first time I saw Oberg play damn good. Needs to keep doing that, but has to limit the throwing of balls, I mean the first Rutgers batter came up and he threw 3 straight balls at him, then came back to ground him out.

The fielding on this team is absolutely terrible. The 3rd base position right now is costing this team unearned runs every game. Would it not be possible to move Fuller back to 3rd and have someone else play first. Is there no other option for first this year? Testani's fielding is just killing this team. Aceto has struggled a few times today with simple singles hit to him and he has bobbled it leading to the runners taking extra bases. This teams record could easily be 3 to 4 games better with better fielding this year.

i think a bunt there would have been the right play. not sure why we didn't do it. but its 7-7 now so once again we hit ourselves out of errors, walks, coaching issues.

Testani's fielding percentage was about .780 before today. Freil is in at 3rd now
