Ha ha! My West Coast Huskies have some impressive defensive stats, if you completely ignore context and the relative strength of the teams they've played. :rolleyes:

LSU leads 32-23 at half. Lot of game left but now Rutgers two starters will be back in to start the half.

Rutgers is 8-28 from the field with 13 turnovers with 6 players with 2 fouls.

Took us out of our game plan. Doesn't help that Guirantes is 1-7.

I imagine Rutgers will heat up and play much better in the 2nd half getting their other starters back in and a chance to regroup.

Ha I think he's very good, a consummate professional, but I'm laughing because so many of the people on Volleytalk (the volleyball fan forum) find him very annoying.

I could see that because he's a volleyball guy and probably annoys folks who know VB, but I really enjoy his vibe on WBB. He's just non-annoying, which is big.

He's plenty knowledgeable about volleyball, which is sadly not the case with many of the volleyball play-by-play people. He played on the Olympic team in 1984. People on Volleytalk are just cantankerous and will complain about a sunny 70-degree day if given the chance.
 
Mitchell is such a workhorse. Say what you will about LSU's lack of offense but I'll put her effort and workrate up against anyone's.

The extent of my knowledge was that he was a Cali Olympic volleyballer, so I assumed he knew his stuff there. Outside of that he just seems like a quality individual.

So without looking up anything it just hit me why I recognize the name Maori Davenport. She's the victim of the ridiculous Alabama ruling, correct?

I hate that her career has been on such unproductive teams. I’m surprised she didn’t grad transfer to a contender.

she is an awful free throw shooter in general. I'm just happy she makes 1-2

I agree, but was just thinking she's a hard fit on top teams. For example, at MSU who does she supplant for minutes. Not Carter, a true post, or Bibby, better all around, or Jackson, a developing stud. Just not enough minutes vs LSU.
 
LSU is a horrible free throw shooting team. Maybe Vivian told her team to get in the bonus right away because they're barely making 50%.

I think she would be starting at the four next to J Carter with C Bibby at the three. MSU needs another solid rebounder and energy player.

Brilliant

Except that half their starters had to ride the bench most the game.

The turnovers for Rutgers is the big issue and not having any answers in the post.
