It's very important to the B1G, and basically is required. Nebraska is the only non AAU school, and the conference wanted them so badly for so long that an exception was made. They won't be adding any more non AAU schools.

Actually, Nebraska was AAU when they were invited to the B1G. There was no exception made. They were kicked out of AAU after accepting the B1G invitation.

You're right. I think they were already kicked out by the time they were "officially" admitted to the B1G, but they were in the AAU when they were offered a spot in the conference.

Technically correct. But the process of removing them from the AAU was going on prior to including them into the B!G and since the process was initiated by B!G schools it was known ahead of the B!G inclusion that Nebraska was not going to be an AAU member.

Rutgers isn't going to be good in Men's Basketball because they easily accept mediocrity. This Hermann. The Terry Shea years. 40 years of horrid Men's Basketball. These last 8 years of Rutgers Football is an aberration that can easily be wiped out. (Flood is just OK. PP would kill them too)

As a University? It's an absolute Hodgepodge. Not cohesive by any definition. The TV Cable money got them in; a fair view of longterm potential, they would always be behind us.
