did a beat writer actually get info for once? lol anyway what channel will it be on? the b10 network? oh ok, to bad i dont get that. maybe new england and its huge population should get that channel one day...
 
Congrats to Rutgers!!! I hope they win the B1G the same year we beat them. We need to keep this going OOC in all sports.
 
Good luck to RU. I learned in Vietnam that being in the right place at the right time is just as much luck as anything else. I do wish them well. I hope they fare better on the field than WVU has in the Big12--probably will, a little. Their hoops program hasn't been decent for years and playing at the Rac doesn't help. It's like playing in NW's gym. Lots to do but they'll be $$ stability.
 
I'm actually happy for Rutgers and their fans, I really am. But, it strikes me as enormously ironic that a school that has literally won nothing.......nada...........zilch is now going onto the B10 to continue that legacy.
 
Happy is too strong a word. I simply begrudge them the least (not at all) of any of the defectors.

Begrudge-ment List (in order)

BC (could have stopped the whole.mess by staying)
PITT (same to a lesser degree)
Miami (didn't need to go, but a southern school)
VT (same as Miami to a lesser degree)
CUSE (tried to save it in 2003, couldn't pass again)
Wvu (had to leave)
Ru (same as WVu only moreso)

I am trying to find the RU press conference on the radio. I've searched every New Jersey sports channel. Then I tried the Rutgers university channel- the actual channel owned and operated by the school. 2:00 came. They started playing a song from Willy Wonka and did not carry their press conference. Seriously. Willy Wonka? Over the press conference announcing you got into one of the best conferences in college sports? I don't get it...

Disagree regarding the RAC. When RU has a decent team, that place really rocks. It was designed (or so I've been told) to reflect back crowd sounds. I'm not sure if this is true but it gets incredibly loud.

Thanks. Can't watch on computer at work due to terms of use restrictions and I refuse to download their app to my iPhone. Something about my phone breaking because it has ruttyvision. Ah well I'll sit this one out and wait for an announcement from Storrs.
 
The RAC point was simply that it is a smallish facility with no "charm" (ala Cameron) that probably doesn't appeal to recruits much. I have been there and a sellout can be loud and a home court advantage. If you aren't very good, though, it usually doesn't matter.
