The SEC thing was a throwaway line in Harvey Araton's article in the New York Times the other day - from there, it grew legs it didn't deserve.

There's nothing to it.

The rumor started from that NY Times article. But, some clown from the Villanova board called ncaaball took this rumor to another level. Ncaaball is a major troll and has been banned on just about every opponent's board. Even the nova posters don't like him.

Guys, that stupid rumor has some legs on her..... Ya got "good ole boys" from Auburn's and TAMU's forums producing multi-page threads about the pros and cons of us becoming a member, lol, absolutely ludacris... We have a better chance of winning the BET
