Rules Question

This is a case where both sides could be right. Tough to make quick calls when you have so many physical, quick players going at full speed. This was as physical a game as I remember. While about 1/3 of Vol Nation complained about the perception of bad calls, many of my neighbors must have heard my screams when I was convinced refs hated the Huskies. On replay, it seemed about even.

That's what I thought at first also but I believe @VaConnFan11 has it right in post #19. Because it wasn't a rebounding play and because Heckel had her back turned to Barker it wasn't a 'legal guarding position'.
Doesn't matter because Barker isn't allowed to run into, or jump on the back of, a stationary Heckel.

Heckel is not planted and vertical when Barker begins her leap to catch the pass so Barker has the right to come down. It's close and could have been a 'no call', but I think it looks worse because Heckel is not looking for the ball. I love Heckel, but watching it again (and I thought in real time during the game) she isn't set up in position to take a charge and it was a pass and not a rebound attempt.

I was at the game, so I didn't have the luxury of a replay. The ref probably thought K9 submarined her. It didn't look that way to me, but I'll give the ref a pass for having to make the call in real time. Now I have to go wash my fingers in bleach for typing this.
