This board needs a gear between “the team sucks” and “we are going to win a national championship”.

The roster is fine, and could make the Sweet 16 with the right matchup and better game day coaching from Hurley.

Long-term, Hurley has a decision to make. Bring in an assistant that he is willing to delegate the offense to, or he is probably not going to be better than a borderline Top 25 program.

This isn't so much a roster construction issue, but I really wish the whole having Sanogo hedge 25 feet out thing would stop. It seems as though once Dan Hurley saw that Whaley could do it, he decided every big could do it just as well. We saw it a bit last year with Carlton as well. It's just not something a traditional big can usually do very well without a defensive lapse resulting inside. IW is an elite talent in that way.
