Hansson is not playing this year and Hypolite got injured in a car crash. That's how I got to 85 here. All the freshmen are accounted for between being on campus or a grey shirt prep wise on the chart. We need some school info this fall for a couple of them.

10 rs sr's plus Mack(he has a rs if he gets hurt) is 11 slots for this recruit class. Smallwood(seems to be a top 2 round lock) leaving early makes 12. Then we have 15 rs jr's that would be coming back possibly and we can talk transfers next summer. So...

We could take a RB this summer for 12 verbals and then sit and wait also. Lets pray that this helps the 4 sites update the verbal lists they have because we need to look good on those lists vs empty as we do now. If you have a subscription to a site, send the this so they update uconn stuff.

I think 15 slots recruiting wise is a good chart for this class. For the 2015 chart 15-20 slots seems right looking out a bit.

Well done......Glad to see some positive "futures" posts here.....This is what I have on a word doc too........I was wondering who the last one out was.....I was pretty sure it was going to be Hyppolite but I hadn't marked him off yet so my chart was still sitting at 86........

I agree with the 15 slots......I think many of those RJR's are coming back because most of them are solid contributors and already either penciled in to start next year or at least on the 2 deep with chance to rack up minutes.

I like the experience we are adding for next year too. A lot of guys with 5 and even 6 years of football already under their belt. I honestly don't care if we don't get recognized by TOS' because most of our guys are coming through prep or JC schools.
Add in a big get in Newsome, maybe a flip in Outlow and 2 or 3 nice pieces and I'm super pumped for 2014.......Our team is stocked for that year looking ahead. Gonna try not to look to that year from here on out. Gotta stay focused on winning this year.

15 will be the minimum. My guess is 18. Not quite sec-like over signing that isn't oversigning, but factor academics/disciplinary/better fit elsewhere, son, and your hard 12 pops up. Plus, factor not all warehoused guys will suit up.

As for newsome, have we even figured out if he camped at uconn or anywhere else?

Everybody forgets about the kids at JC that are in the bag for 2014. Nice job Dan. Maybe we are looking to bring in 5 more kids.

Newsome or bust. Unless we get a few studs don't look for much to happen until after the 2013 HS season.

HFD, have you heard any more about Sylva? I was hearing rumors (probably on the BY) that he was considering other schools now; is that true? I hope not. Kid looks like the real deal! Could have a great future here...

Are all of your grey shirts confirmed or are you guessing on a few? I have to believe there will be a summer transfer or two only because there seems to be at least a couple every year.

- it's for sure newsome or bust. He is the only high level rb we have a shot at or showed major interest in. We have 11 verbals. I see 12 for sure slots. I get 15 end of lass with some attrition next spring/summer. So a rb to hit 12 gong into the season I think is where I want to be and its newsome or bust.
- it angers me that I had to do this thread and check on some guys and phone book to get this info. Should all be reported. My contact could not tell me info about kids prep school wise because they are not on campus so the kids I do have schools for I have seen public reports of that. You didn't hear it here but we may have multiple kids playing at Milford or at a ct prep school on the chart.
-I do not see any summer transfers but I am not in the know...
-hansson supposedly is still going to school but just not football from what I understand.
-Sylva is committed. I encourage the twitter ppl to constantly stay in contact. He has a couple big boys recruiting him. If they offer i am worried but stay confident.
-the 3 open slots this class the feeling seems to be we will take the best 3 kids we can at any position. Unless there is a serious need all of a sudden this fall.

Did Norris burn his red shirt last year?

Yes. When two of our three DEs went down in the first few games, he was playing a lot (whether he was ready or not was another matter) until he got hurt and went down.
