Listening to the 98.5 sports channel yesterday afternoon on my way home.

They were investing around 4 minutes (total) on the NCAAT.

The guy makes some comment about how annoying Syracuyse fans are (apparently there are a basketful in the media). Then he says he is definitely pulling for Kentucky to go all the way.....

Wants Calipari to be the first NCAA coach to have a national championship vacated.

He says that's what's going to happen. Then he says "Write it down."

LOL.

I have to say he may be on to something. And I think I might just jump on that bandwagon.

Uk is being my new puke
I don't care about Duke at all. They're a program past their prime. They're last really good team was 2004.

They got some breaks in 2010 and won a title, but compare 1985-2001 (3 titles, 7 title game appearances, 9 Final Fours)--which was a Final Four, on average, every 2 years--to 2002-2012 (1 Title, 2 Final Fours)--a Final Four every 5--and you can see that their long term dominance is over. They're still a great program, but they're coming off losing to a 15 seed.

And UConn owns them when it counts--2-0 in the Final Four...

Now UK, on the other hand, has been on the rise with a coach I dislike.

As for pulling for them, don't be so sure that they will vacate the title. Don't take that chance.

 i just got sick

Was that Michael Felger? He roots for controversy which will drive ratings. He will be happy talking about controversy over day-today happenings any day. He admits that he hates basketball. He will not give hoops 1 ounce of airtime unless he is ripping it apart.

Not necessary. UK will be the first school to vacate TWO final fours and two consecutive seasons. Their fans will get what they deserve for dancing with the devil. Karma is a bitch. Only a matter of time.......

i like how uk winning the national title is a forgone conclusion in the mind of so many lol! how many times in how many sports has the overwhelming favorite failed to win the national title? does anyone remember how dominant that unlv team that went into the tournament in 91` undefeated was? they blew out everyone that year and they got knocked off by a duke team that they had absolutely pillaged raped and plundered in the national title game the year before. this uk team is not deep and could get worn down like they did against uconn last year when there was that long stretch where there were no time outs. this is a great team but if unibrow gets injured (hope not i really like the kid) or gets into foul trouble they become very beatable. people forget that they were beat by a vandy less than a month ago. my point is the game is played on the court and not in a studio or on paper. im actually picking uk/ku in the title game with ku springing the surprising upset like they did to memphis and squid in 08`

No offense dude, because I normally agree with a lot of what you say, but this sounds like something a Syracuse fan would say about UConn.

Just go to www.syracusefan.com and see how far we've fallen...1 year removed from a title.

Who cares if it's vacated?

They still experienced the win. The game still happened.

I want none of that to happen.

Anyone but UK.

Also, I'm not sure at this point in his life Cal has to "cheat."

Daniel Orton and Eric Bledsoe proved that you don't even have to play well on his team to get drafted in the first round.

The whole thing pretty much sells itself.

I'm not sure that I could root for a Calipari coached team if Hitler was coaching the opponent.

Nooooooo! I just got compared to a Syracuse fan!

I can see how this can be a bit over the top, and as I was writing it it did feel like the people who said UConn was in decline despite two Final Fours in the last four seasons.

I guess decline came across absolute but was meant relative. There was a time when Duke was in the Final Four nearly every year; now, most people feel they are consistently overrated, most of which began after their 2004 season.

Hating Kentucky: If you're rooting for Kentucky to win, you're doing it wrong.

Would rather have Louisville beat UK and Calipari bolt for the NBA!

I want his Final Four vacated at half time during the finals. The announcers debate whether the second half will be played ... During the half hour delay CBS does a complete bio of Calipari's basketball resume. A testimonial from John Cheney would be the cherry on top.
