While much of the EU was weak, there's enough good stuff out there that the filmmakers and new canon novelists should mine. Would have been easy and cool to have a little easter egg canonizing Horn, for instance, in [I]Rogue One[/I]. I suspect they'll continue to mine the EU for stories and characters.
