Rodney Rice leaving VT

Couldn’t find a whole bunch of information surrounding why he’s leaving, but Rodney Rice (former Hawkins teammate & target of ours in the past) is leaving VT. Will have to be a Redshirt this season. But good size and shooter.

Curious if we’ll kick the tires, but these situations always seem to be the kid already knows his next home.

His former hs coach who was hired at VTech left for Maryland this year. Also sounds like maybe he wasn't going to see the time he thought he was promised, so he's banking the eligibility and taking his ball and going home.

From the little bit I read it seemed like a playing time issue. We have an open scholarship, if he wants to come here and sit for the year I'm good with it
