An explosive scorer, the 6-foot-4 Purvis brings size to the Huskies' backcourt that it hasn't had in recent years. He transferred from NC State and sat out last season, but will likely start at shooting guard alongside Ryan Boatright.

He was 50th-ish in SB Nation's. Everyone is just guessing at this point. I don't think any of the Top 100 lists include Brimah and I'm almost positive he's going to be one of the 100-best players in America this year.

Hope this formats well after posting. This is the statsheet.com top 100 players returning based on their efficiency and production metrics last year normalized for possessions. It's not perfect, for example how can it properly evaluate Boat when he was consistently deferring to Bazz. It does not include freshman and misses players like Purvis who sat while transfering. Still, its interesting to look at. The teams with the most impressive returning core of players who played together last year for me are Wisconsin of course, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona and Iowa State.

These lists are silly. They are just as pathetic as the NBA's Preseason rankings of players. They get hits, so ESPN feels obligated to post them. KenSucky will probably have 10 guys on the list (4 of which who've not played an NCAA game). It would be more credible if they did these lists "after" the season rather than "before" the season. Any ways, it's all subjective... but it will make the KenSucky, Puke, UNCheat community happy to make them feel relevant. Championships Talk, Preseason Talk Walks....
