Boneyarders have any preference?

I like what I've seen with Devin Robinson, but the video I've seen of Larrier was really impressive. Both can shoot mid-range to long distance and are super athletic, but Larrier seemed to have great handle as well and makes me really think he could be the better option considering he's 200+lbs which is nice. I'm greedy and would love to get both. Hamilton at the 3 and rotate Robinson and Larrier at the 4, or even let one of them play C at certain times. They'd be a few inches shy of most big men, but their athleticism would help balance that. Still hoping for Myles Turner tho. This coming season already has me excited, but 2014-2015 could be amazing if we land a few more of these recruits!

I hope we never have a 6'7" player at center. Do you expect us to be in the America East by then?

I think he was saying that it could be an option to have two 6'7ish sized guys play the 4/5 and go with a smaller line. I could definitely see this working with Purvis and Hamilton in 2 years.

I'm thinking more Cameron Chatman or Kelly Oubre, but I'm thinking we're out of the running for Oubre at this point. It sounded like Chatman was asking UConn to recruit him harder recently & he's playing very well this summer. However, I wouldn't want any of these guys at PF, because that would just put us at another rebounding/post defense disadvantage, similar to what we had last year. We don't need another sub 200 lb PF, much less at Center. Another swing guy is fine, but we also need some strong, down low guys like Abu, who can hold their position in the post & score there too.

Whoops, I just assumed we were talking about our other PFs like facey or Nolan. No I agree, neither of these two should be at the 5.

After reading the ESPN scouting reports on both players, in UCONN's system, Devin Robinson would be the better option. We rely on our backcourt for ballhandling, with the ability to get the ball to open players in a halfcourt set. Devin's the guy, PLUS he can play D at 3 spots ( wing, small, and power forward ). They're both really good, but I wouldn't bad too mad about Devin over Terry Larrier.

The appropriate response on a public message board is, Can't we have them.both?" Followed immediately by, "I'll buy that for a dollar!"

Wondering why you think UConn is out for Oubre when Ollie was there each time he played this past week.

Lots of people are predicting Kansas lately... and he seemed to gush about replacing Wiggins @ Kansas in one interview I read. His recruitment ranking has jumped so much, just about every top school is recruiting him now and he seems excited with each new team. Who knows.

I agree, everything I've seen is starting to indicate Kansas as being the biggest school to worry about. I wouldn't count the squid out either.

Although I'm hopeful that we land a nice 2014 class, just because we have a bunch of highy ranked recruits listing UConn, it doesn't mean we're going to land many of them. I like the enthusiasm, but there's still a long way to go before we start landing more than Hamilton.

Definitely wasn't saying one of them would play C as a regular position, but at 6'8", I'm saying if they need to go with a smaller, faster lineup at some point, I will take an athletic PF for a little while going up against most other centers in the country.

i do not want either of these guys playing the 5!
wasn't saying a regular at the 5 spot, I'm saying if they want to go with a smaller lineup at times, I wouldn't hate a 6"8, 205lb kid who is fast and athletic having a big man try to guard him when they can kid 17-20 footers. It brings the big man out and they can move past him or shoot. People might think I'm dumb for the earlier statement, but it doesn't seem awful in my opinion. Not a constant center, but if need be on occasion.

We have too many trees as it is at the 5 spot for him to ever play the 5- (unless we are playing a cupcake- and there will be lots of them).

Not sure how this class ends up but my guess is UConn does well with the class of 2014. They can't swing and miss with all of these players.

looking at you tube mixtapes can be deceiving but if I was forced to choose I like Larrier but really looks like we can't go wrong with either guy
