I wish they could have found a way to keep him at UConn. However, I'm glad he's having such success at Kutztown. They've got a playoff game that starts at noon Saturday.

"The transfer from the University of Connecticut has made an immediate impact with the Golden Bears. Frey has rushed for over 100 yards in six games and is 28th in Division II, averaging 98.20 rushing yards a game. Frey is fourth in the PSAC in rushing. He leads KU with ten rushing touchdowns this season. Frey's ten rushing touchdowns are the most by a KU running back since 2002 (Stephen Gammage, 14). Frey is also ranked 49th in Division II in all-purpose yards (128.00)."

I have to say I thought he'd do better than that, but I have no idea what the rest of that team looks like, O-line, etc...

If Kutztown wins their playoff game their next game is Nov 26 at New Haven. I would love it if the RU game is a night game (doubtful) as I imagine the New Haven game is probably a noon game.

Seems like doing pretty good to me. He is doing this on 15 carries a game. He has 155 carries out of team total 421 and 928 yards out of team total of 2,308 (Uconn as a team has 1150 yards - both teams through 9 games). Comparing, for Uconn Lyle has 981 yards on 224 total carries or about 25 carries per game. Robbie was 2nd team all league, if they wanted to make his stats gaudy seems like they could have. Uconn should be so lucky to have 2nd and 3rd backs that between them have more carries and yards than the 1st back (like Kuntztown), makes for better competition and fresher legs.

He also missed a game and a half due to a toe injury.

Damn! Ouch! I love me some Robbie Frey! I had high hopes for him this year here. He moved on and yah he has GOOD numbers, no doubt, but I he is so goddam tough I thought he'd be lighting up D2. Please keep my comments in perspective that I think the world of Robbie and want to see him go off! As a matter of fact if it's possible I'll go see him play in new haven. So, there! Hehe...
