NKU head coach Horn was a Texas assistant under Shaka when RJ was a grad assistant. RJ is very well liked in Shaka's and Pitino's circles. I've heard he was offered a very solid non-coaching role (ops, player development type role) at St. John's but wanted to keep coaching.
