I'm curious to see how we go about utilizing Lee, Holman, Parker and Campbell. With Myers, Bloom and Williams as the top 3 only 1 of them will likely stick at TE. I think we should move Parker back to his natural position of DE, groom Lee for OT and then I'm not sure between Holman and Campbell which one should move where.

I know that we love the backups and unknowns on this board, but IMO if we are playing Peart and Davis we are in for a long year. I know both OT's struggled last year but I do not feel comfortable with a green LT next year.

I think the biggest impacts could be on the defensive side of the ball. Kids like Okunaum and Blackwell on the line, Williams at LB, and Terry at S.

I'm still high on Diggs. I like a 4 man rotation with him, Carrezola, Joseph, and Levenberry. Hopefully they redshirt Tarbutt after foolishly playing him last year.

Our D still seems light years ahead of our O, up front..at the 2 DT spots you can have a rotation of Fatukasi, Myers, Marinan, Ryslik, Murphy, Blackwell, along with Okounam, and maybe Atkins and Lawley sliding inside on obvious passing downs, we should have some serious push up front.. Add a pass rush to that with Ormsby, Atkins, and Lawley, with Okounam, in normal rotation.. you plug in Carrezola and Stapleton to wreak more havoc when we have a bit of a 3-4 look... I likes a bunch... Nice group of kids right there... That's not even talking about our 2nd line of defense, LB.. Anxious to see what Levenberry brings to the table, along with the frosh Naz Williams, Freeborn, Williams, to go along with the regular crew of Carrezola, Stapleton, Joseph, & Hicks. This might be make or break for Stephens, Britton, and Stevens. Another guy I think we might see back on D is Dallas Parker.. Loved his HS highlight tape.. He was relentless getting to the QB... Hope they put him back on D.

If our Front 7 plays up to a potential I think should be even better than this past season I think it takes a ton of pressure off our secondary... which will probably be OK with J. Summers/J Williams at CBs and Melifonwu and either McAllister or Marder at the Safety spots..

Sherriffs gave us a lot this past season in leadership, toughness and ball security but on those occasions when he had the chance to work downfield, I think we saw that his arm has some limitations. It is a positive though, that if he does get pushed or beaten out, it will be a real upgrade and not defaulting to the 'least bad' at QB.

I absolutely would love to see Lee on the O Line. His athleticism would be a plus, but would likely take another year or 2 to bulk up.

I think that the coaching staff should consider redshirting 1-2 of the guys who played as true freshman. I would definitely like to see Lee take this year off and come back as a RS SO fighting for playing time at tackle after the departures of Knappe and Levy.

Sheriffs is very limited in the vertical game. It is what it is - additionally he's a one receiver a play guy or he runs. Quite frankly, not what I look for in a QB but Diaco likes that style.

Have we heard anything on Frank Battle? I know we beat out Syracuse for him and he's 6'5". I haven't seen anything in the media about him, though.

him and mayala(?) were used pretty frequently this year, I would imagine their roles will only expand from last year.

Beals, Mayala, and McLean were the only true frosh who saw time. I was puzzled that Battle couldn't beat them out given (as JMick said) his reputation out of HS and his size. But we shall see how it shakes out. I have a feeling that HCBD really likes Mayala, given how many targets he seemed to be getting compared to Beals and McLean during the second half of the season.

They must love Mayala because I thought Beals looked great to start the year and about half way through Mayala took his spot.

Battle was a redshirt...

Roster management... I believe he was a planned redshirt w/ the number of WR on roster. This in theory would allow them to RS another WR who saw time last year of needed. I've heard/seen nothing negative.

Beals, i think, just needs to get a little stronger. He's got solid hands, could be great if he puts the work in.just needs to get stronger first.

You gotta believe Matala might've shown the best all around ability out of the true frosh this past season, which is why he hot a lot of playing time as the season went on. His ability to block mainly. He certainly didnt catchbthd ball better than Beals.
