We have a 204+ response thread on Courtney Dunbar committing to TN........What a waste of bandwidth that would be.

Yep. She brought her overall shooting up to 33.5% and her 3 point shooting up to 25.7%.Diggins continues to struggle, only scoring 20.
Her FG% from the field is 37%. Not great, but not 33.5% either. LINKYep. She brought her overall shooting up to 33.5% and her 3 point shooting up to 25.7%.
You go girl!!!!

??? The stats you provide show her at 41% from the field, perfectly acceptable from a guard. especially with over 39% from 3.
Nope. Her FG% from the field is 37%. Not great, but not 33.5% either. LINK
You liked where the post tried to correct me. I figured you would like my post too when I showed I was right.this guy loves following me... creepy!
You like this one, DC?
You two have got to get a room, preferably in Vegas.DaddyChoc said:this guy loves following me... creepy!

no thanks... he's too clingy, such a turnoffYou two have got to get a room, preferably in Vegas.![]()
Hey DD, didn't Meatloaf tell you that two out of three ain't bad?Nope.
The 36.6% is on her 2 pointers. Not her overall percentage, which is, indeed 33.5.

It's DC and Diggins that need the room. You two have got to get a room, preferably in Vegas.![]()
And your professed love for Diggins turns me off.no thanks... he's too clingy, such a turnoff
I don't know doggy, I can read between the lines. It's DC and Diggins that need the room.

I don't know doggy, I can read between the lines.
Actually has anyone ever seen DD and DC in the same room together??? hmmmm.
Sorry about posting bad information, but ESPN listed that as Skylar's FG%, not her 2-pt. FG%. Since when does FG% imply only 2-pt shots? Weird. But the WNBA link you provided was interesting, as it revealed how much Skylar is improving her shot (or shot selection) as the season progresses:Nope.

DD, It seems to me that DaddyChoc doesn't have a thing for Skylar, but rather dislikes the way you put down players you do not like. If anyone were to write about UConn players the way you write about Diggins and just about every Lady Vol, you would go ballistic. Players from opposing teams are not bad people just because they attended other schools.

No, you didn't put down Skylar in that post, but I would say you did in post #10 of this thread, although it was a mild insult. The idea you state aboveReally great stats on that site.
Now, I'm not trying to put her down. I am just looking more closely at the numbers.
She did improve some as the year went on. She had such a slow start, she had to improve. Her August numbers were certainly better.
The September numbers are based on only 3 games. She was 4-19 in the first two games and 9-14 in the third game. Hardly a trend.
I'm not convinced she will ever be an effective shooter in the W. Her ball handling, defensive ball hawking skills and charisma will keep her in the league.
If that is putting a player down, you need to grow a thicker skin.
is not true. The truth can be expressed as an insult, as it is all in the way the comment is worded. I can speak the 'truth' about UConn players (or former UConn players) in a way that is clearly insulting and bring down the wrath of the board members. I do not do so because it would be cruel to the athlete and the other Boneyard readers and I would be violating board rules by behaving like a troll. As a UConn fan, you have far greater leeway than I do and far less reservation in telling the 'truth' about players you do not like.Telling the truth is not putting them down.

And to the point of Skylar's improvement, you wrote that Skylar's recent improvement in September is misleading because there are only three games used to comprise that average. Then why don't we just use the past 10 games as a guide? In the past 10 games, Skylar is shooting 39.1 %, which is higher than her Aug total and nearly the same as her present average in September. In her past 5 games, she is shooting 39.6%, which is marginally higher than her 3-game September average. That constitutes evidence of improvement in her shooting. And as you mentioned, her shooting is not her greatest asset. Always nice to shore up a weakness.
