Sorry about posting bad information, but ESPN listed that as Skylar's FG%, not her 2-pt. FG%. Since when does FG% imply only 2-pt shots? Weird. But the WNBA link you provided was interesting, as it revealed how much Skylar is improving her shot (or shot selection) as the season progresses:
25.6% in May
31.7% in June
33.3% in July
37.5% in August
39.4% in September.
Really great stats on that site.
Now, I'm not trying to put her down. I am just looking more closely at the numbers.
She did improve some as the year went on. She had such a slow start, she had to improve. Her August numbers were certainly better.
The September numbers are based on only 3 games. She was 4-19 in the first two games and 9-14 in the third game. Hardly a trend.
I'm not convinced she will ever be an effective shooter in the W. Her ball handling, defensive ball hawking skills and charisma will keep her in the league.
If that is putting a player down, you need to grow a thicker skin.
