I hope it's to fill out a bench coaching application. nice pic though
When did he "OFFICIALLY" retire? He kinda just faded away.

pretty much the uconn way, rip ray and bg all sort of faded away. okafor too. ( fyi RIP did officially retire, i think like last year via instagram)

You'd think with all the money he made over the years in the NBA he could afford to wear jeans without holes in them. ;)

I think these days, the more holes in the jeans, the higher the price. I learned that last fall when I was looking for "new" jeans.

But you'd think he'd at least gain a pound or two by now???

In all my years watching, Rip was the one guy that every time he shot I thought it was going in.

1) many of them did
2) he didn't take many "bad" shots

He worked so hard off the ball when he got it he was good to go. If he didn't have a good shot he didn't force it. Such a smooth player with a great game " feel"

I'd love to see what Rip could do in a marathon or half marathon. He could run all day.

I seem to recall reading an interview with him, in which he said that he hated running but knew that his game depended on him out running whoever was guarding him, so he ran every day. Sometimes only 3 or 4 miles, sometimes a lot more. But he did it every day, season in, season out. Said there were guys who could keep up with him in the 1st quarter, but by the 3rd & 4th quarters he found lots of open shots.

What an awesome pic. Powerful foursome there. Rip is my favorite Husky. There's not many Huskies who worked as hard as he did throughout each game. A true relentless hoopseeker.

Great post, great pic. Loved Rip! If only some kids would realize how good it can be to have a mid-range jumpshot that goes in the basket consistently. He was so good coming off those curls with Jake setting the screens.

Rip could write a book on moving without the ball and how it leads to points. He was a special player and athlete.

If only Rip had a talk with Dham before he decided to leave early oh well.

If KO couldn't convince him otherwise, nobody else could.

I've got a few. Where online can I sell mine?

On appearances only, KO and Rip yes. KFreeman? Likely. Ricky? Not as clear, but not that there's anything wrong with the latter possibility.

LOVED the epic Rip/Ray battles in the NBA. Miss those!
