RIP Tony Dicicco | The Boneyard

RIP Tony Dicicco

I watched him run numerous training sessions at his and Ray Reid's (UConn men's coach) annual coaching clinic at Mohegan Sun and own several of his instructional videos. From the way he interacted with players of all ages you could see that he was a great coach and more importantly he really cared about people. He will be missed.

I don't know much about Tony other than he put together and ran a great team for several years. He died too young.

Born in Hartford and lived in Wethersfield, CT.

He coached the USA's women's soccer team to a World Cup win in 1999. I was one of more than 100,000 at the Rose Bowl that Sunday afternoon for one of the most memorable wins in US sports history.

RIP Tony.
