RIP Roy Clark

Passed away yesterday at 85. Unfortunately known more for his stint on Hee Haw than for what he really was - a really talented musician.

Excellent talent. Many people belittle his stint on Hee Haw, but I remember him pickin'and grinnin' fondly.

Caught a Roy Clark show in Vegas about 15 years ago. He played a mean Orange Blossom Special on the fiddle.

While Hee Haw filled up his bank account it didn't truly reflect his talent. People that know music, all music, were more than respectful of his talent.

I've never been a fan of country music, but I had an immense amount of respect for Roy Clark, and will miss him. He was a great musician, but more than that, he brought the music to a new audience.
