RIP Ozzy Osbourne | The Boneyard

RIP Ozzy Osbourne

Couldn't believe it when my daughter told me he passed away. Insofar as his legacy, how utterly cool is that decades after his hits, schools are still playing "Crazy Train"? Guess tonight, he can finally say "mama, I'm coming home." but it sucks to lose an icon I grew up listening to.

Ozzy's impact crosses generations, genres of music fans because he influenced so many bands and artists, not to mention pop culture thanks to the Meet the Osbournes series.

Glad the Black Sabbath reunion happened before his passing.

That guy LIVED life. Cheers Ozzy!
You think he remembered much of it before cleaning up?

He had to be virtually unconscious much of the time to get kicked out of Sabbath!

Tough loss for heavy metal lovers and rock music in general. Loved me some Sabbath and Ozzy.

Saw a great tribute band, Ozzmosis, last month. Over two hours of Sabbath and Ozzy hit songs.
RIP
There’s a local band near me on the Space Coast FL called Funpipe. They do a good job with Sabbath and Ozzy songs. I’ll have to check them out this weekend. It was tough to understand him when he talked but not when he sang. RIP Ozzy.

The fact that he lived as long as he did living the life he did was a miracle in and of itself. That guy LIVED life. Cheers Ozzy!
Ozzie admitted resesently that the outrageous stories about him and most rockers of his era are exaggerated
On the other hand the Kieth Moon stories are typically understated because his insanely was beyond.belief .

I had just recently added “Mama I’m coming Home” to my solo acoustic set list…..played it twice since the big farewell show and both times brought some unexpected emotion out of me. Now this. RIP

It was clearly planned and his daughter got married or something at the end of the show. He knew he was exiting the stage soon. You can’t plan a concert around that but he seemed like he was done on this plane for he had a kingdom to inherit for he was a prince!!

Great way to look at it.

I saw them in '78 and then in '80 which was the Black and Blue tour w/ Blue Oyster Cult. The intro to Sweet Leaf is one of my all time favorites.

I’ve listened exclusively to Ozzy the last 24 hours, usually as loud as I can get it. It has me charged up. As a younger hard rock fan, Ozzy spanned generations - he was my entry into heavier music after my dad introduced me when I was young. A legend, and truly the first rock star in my eyes

It took over a year to schedule and plan the July 5th event, so...
I'm just glad that he hung around long enough to sing his final song.

watched this just a couple of weeks ago after we rewatched Ironman 3. One of a kind
