I'm too young by 5-7 years to remember much of him or him beating Ali.

Two things. I'm shocked he is only 67. Would have lost a beer on over/under of 70 years old. Although if I did the math of him being in Olympics in '76, it seems right.
Second, shocked he was still alive a few days ago. Definitely would have lost another bar bet on that one.

Those 76' Olympics were amazing for the boxing gold medals. I think we won 5 or 6 of them.

Leon Spinks, Sugar Ray Leonard, Howard Davis, Leo Randolph, and Michael Spinks. It was a banner year for America.
I was 10. But, I remember Sugar Ray. And Nadia.

I must not have been into track cuz I have no memory of Bruce Jenner.

There were a lot of Tyson fights that didn't last long. It used to piss off my Dad because he always got the PPV's.
The highlight reel of his fights is hysterical. There were so many first round ko's and tko's.

Those hi-torque uppercuts that many never saw coming.

RIP to those who never saw those hi-torque upper cuts coming.

Comanechi. Yeah I guess Olga Korbut was in 72'. Teofilo Stevenson too.

Tyson in his prime. How does he stack up against ali, joe Louis, Forman ,Frazier, rocky m
None if them lost 5 fights and were KO'd multiple times. Once big guys realized that if they stood up to him and weren't scared, they could muscle him and unload on him and he'd get frustrated and quit.

In his early years, Tyson was a monster. I saw several of his title fights in person. More importantly, I never beat him at Mike Tyson's Punchout on Nintendo.... I dusted all those other punks like King Hippo, but he always stopped me in seconds....

As an aside, Lennox Lewis is greatly underrated. He was one of the best.
