This is very sad. He’s been around long enough to raise 3 MBB national champ banners and 292 WBB banners. An institution.

Years ago in the mid 60s I lived in the Towers. The school brought in a new pup to replace the Jonathan that had died. A guy in our dorm was a male cheerleader and was to handle the dog at events. We had live band parties every few weeks on Sat nights. The dog was brought to the parties just to help him get accustomed to noisy atmospheres. He was kenneled just up 195 at a farm more or less across from Mansfield Supply. Unfortunately the owner failed to secure a gate properly and the dog got out and was killed by a car on 195. Pretty sad. A great little guy.

He was the Jonathan during my time at Storrs, can confirm very good boy.

He developed seizures. When I read that my eyes started to water. I had to put down one of mine because of numerous events. Sometimes 7 a day. It is the most heart wrenching I ever experienced. I feel for his handlers who sat there trying to help. RIP Jonathan. Enjoy crossing the rainbow bridge. If you run into 4 Westies named Buster, Bentley, Bella and Bessie, tell them I miss them. Thanks.
