Gerry Marsden, lead singer of Gerry and the Pacemakers, has died at age 78. Gerry and the Pacemakers were another band out of Liverpool and were part of the British Invasion in 1964. They had big hits with How Do You Do It, Don’t Let the Sun Catch You Crying and Ferry Cross the Mersey.

All the deaths of these 60s and 70s rockers remind me I’m damn old. When I see their ages I still can imagine them in their prime. Another RIP for a soft rock Brit.

The band I was playing with in the mid-late 60s played many of the songs from both those groups. I loved their music. And yeah you are right - sure does!
