Gerry Marsden, lead singer of Gerry and the Pacemakers, has died at age 78. Gerry and the Pacemakers were another band out of Liverpool and were part of the British Invasion in 1964. They had big hits with How Do You Do It, Don’t Let the Sun Catch You Crying and Ferry Cross the Mersey.

He's ferrying across the Styx River now.

Saw Gerry and the Pacemakers as a lead in for The Lovin Spoonful..at a small concert at URI..many moons ago..sure makes u think of ur own mortality
The band I was playing with in the mid-late 60s played many of the songs from both those groups. I loved their music. And yeah you are right - sure does!
