So incredibly sad, his brother, Andre Silva, also unfortunately passed away in the car accident. I am a Liverpool fanatic, this season was amazing, and Jota played his part and had JUST gotten married less than 2 weeks ago.

It seems as if anyone who knew him personally thought the world of him, and on top of that he was a first-class footballer. Waking up to this news made my stomach turn.

I hope we retire his number. RIP Diogo.

Sad story. It's always stunning to see someone famous and young pass away.

28 & 26 year old brother (Andre Silva, FC Penafiel PT 2nd division).
Widowed wives, and combined 5 young children left without fathers.

Reportedly, a 1 vehicle accident, 12:35 am, speeding on mountainous curvy highway, veered off road while passing other vehicle, rollover, engulfed in flames, possibly blown tire

Jota and Ruben Neves were my favorite players when Wolves got promoted in 2018. I couldn't help but smile and get a little choked up watching him celebrate LFC's Premier League victory. This is gut wrenching.
