I honestly don't remember anyone saying this.

I do. A common thought was that we should pocket the scholarship and not waste it on a four-year project who might never contribute. I remember trying to argue that we needed to be all in for Bazz's senior year and that if a little more front court depth helped patch up our primary weakness and helped us win even one game, it could be worth taking a flyer on him.

I actually meant a regular season game that could help us with seeding - I wasn't thinking about a three-point play to force OT in the tourney.

I never criticize our recruiting classes as i prefer the wait and see approach. Learned this a long time ago. The first time i seen Amida and saw his athleticism, motor and enthusiasm i thought this kid could be a nice contributor for us and he has not disappointed.

freescooter is just a miserable person, notice he hasn't been around since we went on our run and won it all.
He's better suited for the football board these days so I'm sure that is where he spends his time

First negative anything about men's bb and he will be like a cockroach to crumbs.

freescooter was particularly unimpressed with the Brimah, Facey, Samuel class.

It appeared to be a pretty unimpressive class. Given the circumstances (crappy new league, no postseason the year before), I'm not shocked that people were concerned when we brought in a three-man class with only one top-100 recruit, and none in the top 50. Samuel and especially Brimah have blown away all reasonable expectations already obviously, but it wasn't unreasonable to think that wasn't going to be a particularly productive class.

Wait until the first bad loss.

Funny thing is wasn't he advocating for disbanding or removing the football team? If they did this where would he post? Womens basketball forum?
