Series with Oklahoma NOT to be renewed.

Chong had a "great time". Will return in 2 weeks to attend a practice.

It has been noted here several times that her team plays in a relatively weak environment. My old stomping ground so I can attest to that. Still, keen coaching eyes can see potential, whether it is being currently tested or not.

TAMU will be a part of the SEC so technically it will only be Baylor out that conference so I hope we keep the game with OU.

Um Geno, no B1G please. Maybe Purdue as a last resort.

Try the SEC. South Carolina or Florida, for example. Maybe LSU. But Kentucky would be best.

Interesting that Diamond is the only wing UConn has interest in. Should we read something positive into that?

Sure now he wants to play the Big 10 after Styles-P, "The Game Changer" leaves.

i'd love to see Purdue and Michigan State on the schedule. as well as UCLA and USC. add in SDSU and then LSU and either SCAR or Florida. i think 2 teams from each "power conference" would be great...

if tennessee keeps falling, maybe we could do the new coach a favor to get them back into the limelight and add them to the schedule? (before anyone gets their feathers ruffled, that was a joke!)

He wants to play SEC teams. Is Tennessee still in the SEC? :)

Here's where fans showing up in force pays off. The fact that nearly every seat in Gampel was filled must have had an impact, even if unconscious, on Chong's reaction to the first time she visited UConn. And UConn's holding Georgetown's head underwater until the Hoyas stopped breathing didn't hurt, either!

I suspect Geno's desire to play SEC teams has to do with its territory being such a recruiting gravy boat ... but how many want to sign up for a dose of UConn in the forseeable future?

Yup, that's where good talent evaluation comes in especially in women's hoops where competition in certain locales isn't so hot and especially if the kid doesn't or hasn't played AAU. Nykeisha Sales played in a weak environment so her stats were spectacular. I guess she was pretty good anyway

We now have 6 recruiting targets and 5 scholarships. Prediction: Chong gets an offer and verbals before April 15.
.
Anybody know with certainty how many scholarship offers have been extended so far?

i believe 2 - DD and TR...
Eric. Based on published information those two have been offered. I have no additional information, but I wouldn't be surprised if Samuelson also has an offer.

Based on published reports, I agree that Diamond and Taya have offers. Are there others? None that I have heard about.

Interestingly, there are now 6 targets for 5 slots. DeShields, Reimer, Samuelson, Chong, McCall, and Tucker.

There are rumors that Taya is slipping toward Notre Dame.

We've heard little recently on Tucker, though Rich reports this weekend that we are still interested.

Things are moving fast with Chong, especially, and McCall. I would not be surprised if Saniya is our first commit.

There is no news on Diamond. We've heard that she was a strong UConn lean, but that was a long time ago.

If we get Diamond, Erica, Saniya, and Karlie, that would be very, very nice!

Uconn already played south Carolina .. remember thats win KG tore her ACL ..... i thnk Erica McCall is going to be the next person GA offers, GA is going up there tomorrow. IMO if he wasn't REALLY considering her he would of just sent one of the assistants to check her out.
